Last month I bought a pair of black, El Naturalista tall boots. I’d been thinking about them for a while and they were on sale, so I bought them. Everyone needs a pair of basic, black, flat/low heel tall boots in their wardrobe, right?
Sadly, I only wore the boots a few times. The boots had a flaw that was not repairable, so I had to exchange them for something different. When I went in, there was no basic black available. What they did have, was a cool pair of orange, high-heel tall boots. I would never have tried these on if I’d had other options, but they were one of the only pairs of boots left in my size available. So I figured “huh, why not?”
I tried them on. I loved them. I got them.
I take this as a sign. The universe did not want me to have boring, black boots. The universe wanted me to have colourful, hot, totally cool boots. Is it wrong for a pair of boots to make me so happy? Check these puppies out:
Be still my heart. I may never buy black shoes or boots again.
Many, many thanks to the good people at Any Direct Flight for taking care of me and my boots, making this right, and convincing me to go for the orange boots. <3
