Resolutions. Got Some?

resolutions 2 by ribarnica

As I always do around this time of year, I’ve been thinking about goals. It seemed prudent to go back and look at the more or less resolutions I made a couple of years ago and think about what I’d accomplished.

The one thing I’m really proud to have accomplished over the last couple of years is more exercise. It’s a regular part of my life now and I have never felt better. So that’s one thing on my resolutions list. And, yep, that’s about it.

Since I didn’t manage to accomplish many things on my list, I’ve decided to focus on fewer things. While I still want to work on other things, there is one thing on that list I’m going to focus on this year is more blogging.

A new addition to my resolutions list and something else I want to focus on this year is to start thinking about paying work. I’ve been out of the workforce since my oldest was born in 2001. There are a lot of other things that I’ve been doing to keep my brain active and stay current in the last 12 years. Plus I’m working on a new project that I’m really excited about. This one is kind of already in the works but my goal is to continue working on this and building my professional self.

So there you have it, my 2014 resolutions:

  • More blogging
  • Working on my professional self

What does everyone else have planned for this year?

My resolution is to not be assaulted at my job. Seriously, I get assaulted every day I am at work in a Toronto elementary school. If you are a parent of a school age child, I encourage you to know what is happening in the school after the resent changes. Especially in Kindergarden and no, I do not work in Kindergarden. I would not have my children in a TDSB school. Thank God they are past that age and that when they were that age, things were much better and I was in their school every day.
