Family Nature

I’m Amanda. I live in Toronto with my partner and our four kids: number 1 is a boy who is 12 and in grade 7; number 2 is a boy who is 9 and in grade 4; number 3 is a boy who is 8 and in grade 3; number 4 is a girl who is 6 and in grade 1.

My number 1 has a stutter. My number 2 has ADHD, predominantly inattentive presentation. My number 3 is allergic to tree nuts (formerly allergic to dairy, eggs and bananas too).

We live our lives in a way that comes naturally to us. We go with our gut. As a word play on human nature and Mother Nature I like to say that we all have a family nature. As far as our family goes, there are things that come naturally to us and things that we can’t help but feel. This is our family nature.

I am a woman, partner, mother of four, ADD mum, allergy mum, torontonian, free citizen and (generally speaking) all around good person. I’m flying by the seat of my pants, living life and raising kids in a way that comes naturally to me. This is my family nature.
